Elton combines his whanau centred approach with his many years of experience in Asset Development and Management for Local Government Organisations including Parks and Reserves, Strategic Property and Facilities, as well as private residential Property investment/development in New Zealand, whilst working for firms in the UK and the USA.  Elton has also worked alongside and been part of Lake Management Committees, as well as having worked with leading NZ Coastal Scientists on coastal erosion projects.

Elton’s wife Viv also has many years of commercial banking experience including Retail, Housing and Agribusiness finance/lending and her experience adds to the strength of Elton's team.

Elton has also worked with iwi level organisations in land exchange projects under the Public Works Act and Right of First Refusal (RFR) work also around Crown/Council land.  He has built up a vast array of expertise and knowledge through these years of work, and has also completed Post-Graduate study in Business Administration and Management at Waikato University.

Elton's knowledge and experience is just right for this job but it is his heart that truly sets him apart in his missions.  His passion is to see Māori empowered and equipped to manage their own whenua and economic, social, cultural and environmental development so they can have truly sustainable intergenerational wealth. This is the purpose for Koru Asset Development Group existing.  This mission is what gets Elton up each day and he counts himself as very privileged to work with each whanau he walks alongside.
